All too often printers become focused on achieving an arbitrary density spec and sacrifice repeatability when completing a fingerprint. We will discuss how the fingerprint is the foundation for repeatability, and simply benchmarks your presses performance with a known set of variables. Thus, allowing you to quantify your presses performance and get back to that point every time. During the fingerprint you identify YOUR densities; they may not be the same as FIRST and that is ok.

Measuring hue angle and achieving gray balance is becoming more important as packaging contains print samples from various segments of the industry. Not all process inks are the same color and density will not tell you the whole story. We will also look at how hue angle is a critical tool for color control and repeatability.
