Sun Centre Opens New North American Headquarters and Hands-on Technology Center
The new Technology Center allows customers to test run their pouch designs without losing production time at their own plant.
(Crystal Lake, IL.) – Sun Centre USA has completed a move to the company’s new U.S. headquarters in Crystal Lake, IL. Sun Centre USA is the industry’s premier resource for “everything pouch making,” from precision engineered pouch machines and fitment equipment to blown film lines, slitters, unwinds and laminating machinery. The new facility provides expanded space for corporate offices as well as 10,000 sq ft for the company’s new Technology Center.
The new Technology Center will feature full-function pouch-making machinery where customers can conduct pouch trial runs. Operators can also be trained and certified or recertified, without taking away from their own production schedules.
According to Sun Centre USA president Jim Peace, “While Sun Centre machinery has been built in China for the last 16 years, in the last five years, our USA operation has established an extensive sales and service operation serving customers worldwide with bilingual technicians 24/7. And now our new Technology Center will provide customers with hands-on experience with our equipment and a chance to explore the latest advances in pouch making and all related machinery.”
Sun Centre USA can now demonstrate its advanced pouch making for small to large digital printers as well as the newest multi-chambered pouch-making technology at the new Technology Center. The new facility will also house the company’s machining center where parts for all makes and models of pouch machinery can be reverse engineered and manufactured — saving customers time and money over many other OEM parts support offerings.

In 2003 the Shanghai Sun Centre Machinery Co. ltd established modern manufacturing facilities in Shanghai, China to produce all machinery related to producing high quality pouches, including innovative Pouch Machinery, Blown Film Extrusion machines, Slitting and Laminating machines, and Pouch Spout Insertion machines. Sun Centre USA was founded in 2015 to sell, engineer, install and service its machinery worldwide.
